Love it!
Really? What COE vehicle can’t you do this to? Heck even VW, Dodge, or other cargo van. Doesn’t take a robotics genius just the ability to post.
Also, can we at least point out the creepy motherfucker behind the wheel???
Nope because look at both pictures. The guy is in the right hand seat but in the other photo you can see the steering wheel on the left. So creepy passenger guy?
I can’t make out the steering wheel so I just assumed it was RHD.
So you think Giuseppe is creepy?
Wait until you meet his cousin Luigi.
I vote to make this The Autopian’s official mascot.
Second.
This looks to be the inspiration for a lot of the cheeky robots in Futurama.
That’s where my brain went as well.
A striking resemblance to Crushinator.
I probably have some responsibility to introduce Jason to the hilarity that is the Daihatsu V150.
Yes, that is a 1.5 ton truck. It is powered by a 1.5L engine producing a whole 68HP. And no, the frame has not been shortened.
Once we get the ability to post images (come soon, oh Blessed Day for which us Millenarian Autopians have been praying for since March 32nd) I shall share some choice pages from the 1967 Japanese Auto Manufacturers’ Yearbook. There were triple-cab versions of some of these late ’60s cabover trucks which look simply absurd.
I just noticed your photoshop robot has a human controller inside its head! I hope he’s not a mad scientist hell-bent on taking his rage out on the city.
It’s an early prototype battle mech, a joint venture between Stark Industries, Muppet Labs, and the Gizmonic Institute.
+1 for “Muppet Labs”.
+2 for Gizmonic Institute. Maybe we can get the I.D.E.A. Institute involved as well?
That’s where the robot keeps the captives it has harvested.
Hey Laserlips, your mama was a snowblower!!
It seems to be Fiat 1300/1500 headlights
Good call – they probably have a Ferrari parts number at 10x the cost as well.
Honda Acty always gave me a similar vibe. I mean, a lot of them have little personalities, but it seems like it has the face of a friendly robot in some sci-fi future where they do all the menial tasks we’d rather not.
I can almost hear this truck telling me to bite its shiny metal ass.
…with a straight-out-of-central-casting Italian accent.
